FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS & POLICIES

  • We require all new dog guests to schedule a free in-person assessment of your dog’s temperament around other pets & people, prior to booking for the first time.
  • The assessment can take between 30 to 120 minutes, depending on the dog.
  • Schedule this first-time assessment by calling 623-972-8000.
  • Cats do not require an assessment, but must be up-to-date on vaccinations per below.
  • All dogs must be spayed/neutered, and dog and cat owners must provide a copy of these up-to-date vaccination records:

                          Dogs: Distemper, Parvo, Rabies, Bordetella (Kennel Cough)

                          Cats: Feline Leukemia & Distemper, Rabies

  • You can submit vaccination records two ways:  

                          > in-person at the hotel

                          > via e-mail at info@grandpethotel.com

  • All dogs and cats must also be flea and tick-free.


  • For a daycare visit, you can drop your pet off beginning at 7am, and pick up until 5pm, and no reservation required for assessed regular customers.  You can also drop off & pick-up outside these hours by appointment - as we are staffed 24/7.  Note that new customers must first schedule a dog temperament assessment and submit the needed vaccination records.
  • Regular check-in time for overnight boarding is between 1 pm  and 4:30 pm (just like a hotel).
  • Regular check-out time for boarding is between 7:30 am and 12 noon.
  • To drop-off or pick-up pets outside of these hours, please call us at 623-972-8000 to schedule.
  • There is a $5 per-hour Daycare charge for overnight boarding pick-ups or drop-offs outside these hours.


  • Food (pre-portioned, if possible) to keep your pet on its regular diet while you are away.  We can provide food, but that needs to be arranged prior to the visit.
  • Medications (we will administer per owner’s instruction, including injections).
  • Treats (we will share as you instruct).
  • Toys (we provide many toys & activities, but your pet’s favorite toy in their space can help them feel safe and happy).
  • We provide comfort raised cots (for dogs) and laundered bedding (dogs & cats), but you are welcome to bring your own bed if you prefer.
  • Please try to label all items you bring.


  • Grand Pet Hotel is staffed 24/7 so your pet always has human companionship and supervision.
  • Every day (daycare and overnights) dogs are treated to several hours of  supervised, interactive play time with other dogs similar in size & play style in one of our three outdoor dog parks and indoor playroom.  Shade, activities, toys, trees, water features, and fun included!
  • Upon special request, your pet can enjoy "keep separate" outdoor (or indoor) playtime without other dogs if you prefer.
  • Each stay includes numerous supervised potty breaks outside in our dog parks.
  • You can also schedule additional grooming services for your dog during his/her visit, like a nail trim, ear cleaning, bath, de-shed brushing, etc. Click https://grandpethotel.com/grooming for more grooming info.


  • We feature two suite sizes for dogs: 
    • 3 ft x 7 ft JUNIOR SUITE for 1-2 small to medium dogs, or one large dog.
    • 7 ft x 7 ft BIG SUITE for medium to large dogs, and multiple dog families (up to 3).

  • Each dog suite features a comfy mesh cot, blankets laundered daily, food & water bowls, and relaxing ambient sounds.
  • Pet parents are encouraged to bring personal items for pets like toys, treats, food, dog bed, etc.
  • We can dispense medications per your instructions, already included in our price.


  • Grand Pet Hotel is staffed 24/7 so your cat always has human companionship and supervision.
  • Our airy cat condos are all three-levels, and include comfort bedding, a hammock, food & water bowls, and litter box w/litter.  A cat condo can house from one to three cats in the same family.
  • Cats enjoy natural sunlight with a large outside window, rotating playtime outside their condo in the cat room, tall cat tree w/scratching posts, cat perch, toys, and activities like a chaseable laser light game.  Our staff also interacts with each cat individually during the day and evening.
  • Cat condos are cleaned throughout each day, and litter boxes regularly cleaned.
  • Our cat guests truly enjoy watching the other cat guests, and share in cat zen together from their respective condos and while taking their turn roaming in the cat room.


  • Reservations are encouraged, but not necessary for already assessed & registered pet clients.
  • New daycare dogs must be assessed, spayed/neutered, and be current on vaccinations (see above for more information).
  • Daycare is available 7am until 5pm 365 days per year; pets may also be dropped off or picked up outside these hours (as we're staffed 24/7) but we request you schedule that in advance so we're ready for you.
  • Daycare is conveniently priced at only $5 per hour (but with a $20 minimum).

  • Special needs pets are more than welcome (blind, deaf, diabetic, mobility needs, etc.)
  • Medications/shots can be carefully dispensed per your special instructions.
  • We can also keep pets separate for special needs.
  • Unlike other pet boarders, medication support at Grand Pet Hotel is included in our easy boarding and daycare pricing.
  • If you have a unique pet such as a ferret, guinea pig, rabbit, etc. please call us at 623-972-8000 for special arrangements.
